We use a specific high-quality form of magnesium called magnesium bisglycinate, in which the magnesium is bound to the amino acid glycine to improve absorption and bioavailability. It is also gentler on the stomach and less likely to cause digestive upset. Even so, some people may still notice loose stools or diarrhoea with high doses of magnesium. If that happens, try halving your dose, for example moving from two serves a day to one, then gradually increasing again over a week or two to find the amount that suits you best.
