Rainbow Medicine has announced a programme of twelve free community talks for the year ahead. Each talk runs between 60 and 90 minutes, takes place at the Lane Cove clinic, and is open to community members regardless of whether they are existing patients. Seats are limited and bookable online.
Topics span the practice's clinical and community-wellbeing interests: fertility, the menstrual cycle, acupuncture basics, menopause, gut health, anxiety, sound healing, relationships, men's mental health, trauma-informed self-care, life after divorce, and parenting through adolescence. Several talks include guest panellists from neighbouring practices.
"The talks are part of how we think about community health — not just treating one person in a room, but sharing the knowledge that helps people make better decisions before they come to us, or instead of coming to us," said Dr Christine Shen. "There is no upsell at the end of these sessions. They are genuinely free."
Most sessions are presented by Dr Christine Shen or a named guest speaker. Sessions are evidence-informed, jargon-light and structured around audience questions. Where appropriate, attendees receive a one-page handout summarising key points. Recordings of selected sessions are uploaded later to Rainbow Medicine's YouTube channel.
Bookings open six weeks before each talk and typically fill within a fortnight. The full schedule and booking links are at /en/talks. RSVPs help with seating and catering — please notify reception if your plans change.
